Saturday began with homemade pancakes and a quick trip to Camden for a very important purchase (the boyfriend needed a biker jacket, of course!) before we went on a wee drive up to Audley End House. We realised this was Néstor's first glimpse of the countryside (despite having lived in the UK for a total of 3 years!) which I think really justified our decision to purchase an annual English Heritage membership! It can be used in Scotland too so I can make use of it when I'm home as well. It's also a great excuse to get out of London for a day, I think we both felt so much better for it and it made the weekend seem even longer!
The house is just over an hour's drive from London and we were lucky to get some beautiful weather.
We ended the night cooking spaghetti bolognese and drinking some wine - all that fresh air really took it out of me!
Traditional Sunday - yoga and brunch! But this weekend was yoga with a twist. It was the first day of the Lululemon Unroll Europe Tour - 1000 yogis took over Duke of York Square for 90 minutes of yoga fun! Global ambassador Eoin Finn (check out his company Blissology!) led the practise which involved high-fiving, hugging and dancing with the yogis around you - definitely not a normal day for a Londoner! I really enjoyed the practise, as a fairly-new yogi it was fun to see more variety in the practise than I've had previously - it was inspiring to see the wonderful head standing yogis, too.
After yoga, Laura and I went to Nell's on King's Road (as I previously mentioned, one of my favourite brunch spots!) before meeting Néstor for a wander around the National Portrait Gallery and a coffee in Notes.
Bring on the next weekend!
